SUNNY MOON | COMMUNITY BLOCK

The left wing of Sunny Moon in Nai Harn, 169 m² across four rooms: a playroom of 57,2, a coworking space of 67,6, a recording studio of 24,7 and a podcast studio of 17,4. All four are about sound, and each one handles it differently.

The playroom absorbs. Upholstered blocks stack into a climbing tower, the floor is laid with looped circular rugs, a tree grows out of the floor and opens into lit leaves overhead. In the coworking the quiet comes from felt: it lines the screens between desks and the niches above the shelves, with relief tile in the booths and copper on the partitions.

The studios do the opposite and shape sound instead of swallowing it. The recording room is panelled wall to wall in timber diffusers; the podcast studio has a wall of oak set with oval hollows, heavy curtains on both sides and two armchairs under the lights. Through all four rooms runs the Sunny handwriting: dark wood, relief, one accent pendant apiece.
