JUNGLE VILLAS | BALI

A quiet, green neighbourhood five minutes from Karma Beach. This is where our first Bali project came to life: two villas built from the ground up in a single year, one with a pool, the other with a Balinese bathtub in a secluded backyard. The client arrived with a clear vision, and we took every wish into account before pushing the concept further.

The villas rest on a solid reinforced concrete foundation. The facades are clad in natural stone and textured plaster, the interiors in teak and sawn stone, and full-height windows dissolve the boundary between the rooms and the landscape. The plan unfolds gradually: from the open living area with its high ceilings you move onto a wide terrace, where the stone floor echoes the facade outside and the eye drifts toward the pool and the green horizon. Several materials were replaced along the way with more durable ones.

Two things were not in the original brief: a rooftop staircase and a landscaped green roof. The ocean view was simply too good to ignore, and the roof now gives every guest a place of their own above the jungle.
